This episode of Give An Ovation Features Lee Kindell, Founder and CEO of Moto Pizza! Famous for their deepish and other delicious and doughy menu items, Kindell is an expert at bettering your brand. The key ingredient? Passion. Tune in to Lee’s deep dish on how to develop your brand through passion, skill, and drive.

Here’s one of our highlights from this episode and Lee’s answers to some of our questions:

Featured Takeaway: Power of passion and skill

“I think anybody can make an amazing pizza with just plain flour, water and salt. And it’s technique. It’s good quality ingredients and good technique. So the love and passion that I have for it translates to that. This means that the technical aspect of it and the craftsmanship, the exchange with the guests is a culmination that creates this incredible demand.”

The most important aspect of the guest experience nowadays (15:09)

“Engagement…

From the moment they find who you are, that’s the beginning of the engagement. When they start looking at you, your website, your social media, they start because they find out about you. Then they want to check you out a little bit, they want to verify. That’s the beginning of engagement.”

Who is someone in the industry that deserves an Ovation? (24:33)

“I think the small guy should get the ovation. I think the small guy who’s doing a food truck a pop up, the dreamer who’s trying to get it off the ground. I think that’s who we need to follow. They’re the innovators and the ones who are coming and doing something new and different.”
